Der Oberhafenkanal stellt eine weitere Mündung in die Norderelbe dar. Gleichzeitig ist er die kürzeste Strecke und ungefährlichere Strecke, um auf einer Elbwanderfahrt zur Alster zu gelangen. In dem Falle aber kommt man durch die Speicherstadt, wo tagsüber gedeckte Boote wegen der Ausflugsbarkassen ein absolutes Muß sind.

Aus Platzmangel sind hier drei Eisenbahnbrücke übereinander gebaut. Achtung: Oberhafenkanal fällt hier weitgehend trocken. Deshalb auch als Ruderer sich an die Fahrrinne halten.
