Grösste europäische Seenplatte, 12.300km² Wasserfläche, 33000 Inseln und 50.000km Küstenlinie. Für Skandinavien relativ zivilisiert, d.h. im Abstand von 40-100km erreicht man immer wieder einen Campingplatz/Supermarkt. Bei genauer Planung (gute Karten, Handy, GPS) ist eine Fahrt mit Landdienst möglich. Es gibt zwar Schleusen, aber oft werden die Höhenunterschiede durch ein paar Kilometer lange Strömungsstrecken überwunden! Die beschriebene Strecke ist eine Möglichkeit, es sind tausend andere Strecken denkbar. Wer hier mit C-Booten rudert ist lebensmüde, gedeckte E- oder besser D-Boote sind die Voraussetzung. Erfahrene Obleute, am besten mit Langtuurschein dringend zu empfehlen.

die erste Durchfahrt auf Steuerbord zwischen den Inseln (sehr eng) dadurch vermeidet man die grössten Flächen. Trotzdem davor und dahinter sehr hohe Wellen, äußerste Vorsicht und gutes Bootsmaterial ist lebenswichtig.
