Der Jezioro Niegocin (deutsch: Löwentinsee) liegt südlich von Giżycko (Lötzen) und ist Mittelpunkt der »Großen Masurischen Seenplatte«. Über Kanäle ist er im Süden nach Mikołajki (Nikolaiken) hin verbunden, nach Norden hin mit dem Jez. Mamry (dt. Mauersee).
Achtung: Das Gewässer ist bekannt für seine tückischen Wellen, insbesondere in der Bucht von Wilkasy hin nach Strzelce. Es ist unbedingt unter Land zu befahren, schnell wechselnder Wind kann lebensgefährlich werden. Auf jeden Fall sollten Schöpfbecher mitgeführt werden.
